About the role

The Senior Policy Officer – Clinical Trials will work in clinicaltrialsNSW to deliver the Quality Recognition Scheme (QRS). The QRS assesses the conduct of units delivering clinical trial services in NSW. The role is a key part of how clinicaltrialsNSW assures a strong framework for health and medical research, and assists Local Health Districts and Specialty Networks to develop excellence in care delivery.
Crown Clerk 9/10, starting salary from $129,464 - $142,665 plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week, work location- 1 Reserve Road, St Leonards

What you’ll be doing
- Managing the operations of the QRS
- Assessing sites against the QRS standards, including visits to sites
- Maintaining currency and relevance of the QRS standards
- Supporting the Navigator service, addressing queries inbound to clinicaltrialsNSW
- Contributing expertise to the development of the clinicaltrialsNSW program of work
About you
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:
- In depth knowledge of clinical trial site operations and working knowledge of the regulatory framework governing clinical research practice
- A relevant tertiary qualification
- Experience in quality, audit, or operations management
- The ability to travel to sites in NSW on a regular basis
- The ability to act in an ethical and professional manner, suitable for an assessor role
