- This position is part time; however, job share arrangements may also be considered.
- Please note this appointment is strictly for Monday and Tuesday
What you'll be doing
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's in Orthoptics with eligibility for membership of Orthoptics Australia and the Australian Orthoptic Board.
- Demonstrated keenness and the ability to work with families and children.
- Previous experience in a paediatric ophthalmic setting diagnosing, managing and assessing paediatric patients with a variety of ocular conditions.
- Experience working single handedly in clinics and managing patients with amblyopia.
- Ophthalmic experience performing and analysing tests such as OCT, visual fields and fundus photography.
- Ability and willingness to work independently but to seek guidance where appropriate
- Demonstrated willingness to work with other professionals as part of overall patient care, providing supervision to students, orthoptic colleagues and registrars.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
