About the Role
Balmain Hospital is a community-based healthcare facility that has been caring for local people since 1885. It is dedicated to Aged Care, Rehabilitation and General Practice. Balmain Hospital is committed to providing the highest standards of healthcare to meet individual needs.
  
We have an exciting opportunity for you to work as an Aged Care Senior Occupational Therapist at Balmain hospital. You will have an opportunity to work within a supportive multidisciplinary team and be part of a dynamic occupational therapy department. You will oversee the sub-acute aged care service provision across Balmain Hospital as well as supervise Level 1/2 Occupational Therapists.
  
The Senior Occupational Therapist will provide senior clinical leadership within Occupational Therapy service provision including optimisation of patient/client care delivery, as well as supporting the mentoring and development of staff.

Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor or post graduate degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy and current registration with AHPRA, with experience at Level 2 or higher.
  • Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including collaborative stakeholder consultation and current NSW Driver’s Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
  • Demonstrated ability to independently problem solve, apply professional and ethical boundaries when working with complex situations as per of a multidisciplinary team.
