About Us

Our Medical Workforce Team located at the Health Hub Nepean Hospital is currently looking to hire a Temporary Full Time Administration Officer to work as a Senior Recruitment and Transactions Officer until January 2026.

In this role, you will assist in the provision of an effective and efficient recruitment functions whilst processing (or overseeing the processing of) all stages of JMO recruitment; manage the daily distribution of workload within JMO Recruitment and Transactions team, monitoring workload achieved and identifying knowledge gaps, providing training and feedback where required and assist with developing, implementing and maintaining JMO recruitment processes ensuring that departments are coached and knowledgeable in these processes.

This position will see you report on temporary contracts and liaise with managers to resolve issues to ensure contract expiry process is actioned in a timely and accurate manner;  conduct regular audits of non‐specialist locum recruitment documentation and provide regular reporting on locum compliance and coordinate all non‐specialist honorary medical officer and observer applications for executive approval.

What you will bring to the role: 

  1. Demonstrated experience supporting recruitment and staff establishment functions within a large scale organisation.
  2. Demonstrated high level organisation and administrative skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines and meet customer needs.
  3. Demonstrated ability to manage concurrent activities whilst maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  4. Demonstrated ability to develop positive and productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  5. Demonstrated commitment to providing a solution focused service and the ability to apply initiative to continually improve outcomes.
  6. Capability, or preparedness to acquire knowledge, in working with public sector structures, policies and processes, especially in the recruitment context.
  7. Demonstrated ability to contribute as an effective team member with a capacity to be flexible, motivated and participate in a service delivery oriented team.
  8. Demonstrated experience in the use of Microsoft Office packages (including Word, Outlook and Excel), Human Resources Information Systems and electronic Recruitment systems.
