  2. Tertiary qualifications in Social Work and eligibility for membership to Australian Association of Social Workers. Evidence of extensive clinical experience with a minimum as a level 2 and a commitment to maintaining a professional skills and knowledge base.
  3. Demonstrated extensive clinical experience and understanding of domestic and family violence with advanced knowledge of safety planning and child protection issues using contemporary trauma informed practice and advanced clinical skills when working with individuals and families.
  4. Demonstrated ability to exercise independent professional judgement and advanced reasoning skills when required in solving problems and managing cases where principles, procedures, techniques and methods require expansion, adaptation or modification.
  5. Demonstrated high level of effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences. Demonstrated ability to negotiate, advocate and interact constructively and collaboratively and in partnership with a diverse range of stakeholders throughout all organisational levels.
  6. Demonstrated high level understanding of the inter-related dynamics and effects of domestic violence, sexual assault, physical abuse and neglect and a commitment to integrated models for working with clients who have experienced trauma and abuse. Commitment to working within a team.
  7. Experience in initiating, leading and delivering quality improvement initiatives aimed at improving service delivery, including planning, development, implementation, evaluation and professional education and training.
  8. An unrestricted NSW Driver Licence, willingness to travel for work and to be on call for the service.
