Selection Criteria:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in an Allied Health discipline, or a fully registered psychologist, with demonstrated expertise of health policy, priorities and treatment in relation to the drug and alcohol field.
- Demonstrated high level management experience in a health care environment.
- Extensive experience in providing psychosocial services relevant to drug and alcohol patients with complex clinical presentations.
- Demonstrated ability to provide high level clinical support, training and supervision to professional, technical and support staff.
- Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, throughout all organisational levels.
- Demonstrated experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and applying independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a complex nature.
- Demonstrated experience of initiating, leading, completing and disseminating quality improvement, service evaluation processes and research activities.
- Demonstrated experience in writing reports, briefings and other correspondence.
