- Possession of current NSW Security License Class 2A, or the ability to obtain same (minimum Class 1A) and Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training or equivalent.
- Fire Safety Officer Educator qualifications or the ability / willingness to obtain a Fire Safety Officer Educator qualification.
- Demonstrated experience in the development and delivery of fire and security education and training.
- Demonstrated experience in operational and administrative management of security and fire safety officer staff in a health care environment.
- Good knowledge and experience of Workplace Health & Safety NSW Legislation in respect of security and fire safety functions within a large public organisation including working knowledge of an Incident Investigation Management System and risk management principles.
- Demonstrated leadership, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated skills in the development and implementation of security and fire safety policies and procedures such as the Security and Improvement Plan for a Health Service.
- Ability to work fulltime Monday-Friday and a valid unrestricted drivers’ licence for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel in the course of employment.
