About the Role
Sydney Dental Hospital (SDH) has been serving the local community since 1904. The Hospital is a centre of excellence and throughout its history has been a key driver in shaping oral health and dental care in Australia.
    
The primary objective of the position is the management of all aspects of stores and security services at Sydney Dental Hospital and the provision of a Security Service to ensure the safety of staff, patients and visitors as well as the protection of hospital assets. Our strategic priority under this vision is our commitment to excellence in Patient and Family Centred Care. Staff are supported to ensure patients; their families and carers are considered as partners in care to achieve optimal patient outcomes and best possible healthcare experience.

Ideal Candidate
  • Licenced according to the Security Industry Act 1997 - Class 1, Subclasses A and C NSW Security Licence, current Senior First Aid Certificate and current NSW Driver's Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable). The ability to complete all requirements of the Violence Prevention & Management.
  • Demonstrated experience with and a sound understanding of alarm systems, access control systems, CCTV, fire indication panels, de- escalation and aggression minimisation strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop security policy, staff training programs, security awareness programs, risk minimisation strategies and monitor their effectiveness.
  • Management qualification and/or relevant experience and demonstrated leadership, including ability to motivate, co-ordinate and manage staff in a health service.
