SCHN - SCH - Pharmacy Technician
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Attention to detail and accuracy in undertaking all tasks
- Ability to understand and adhere to all legislative requirements
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with information technology and familiar with the use of pharmacy software e.g. iPharmacy system.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations
- Demonstrated understanding and experience of dispensing/issuing of pharmaceuticals in a hospital or community pharmacy setting or equivalent experience.
- Candidates must have relevant qualifications as per the award to enable appointment as a Pharmacy Technician Grade 1 i.e. completed a qualification in a relevant field recognised by the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia or up to the level of Certificate III (or as deemed equivalent by the organisation). Candidates who have Certificate IV qualifications as per the award may be considered for appointment as a Pharmacy Technician Grade 2.

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course (2 doses) of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA).
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
