Sydney Children's Hospitals Network is the largest paediatric health care entity in Australia. We care for thousands of children each year in our hospitals and in their homes — with one purpose in mind — to help young people live their healthiest lives.

The Research Assistant (RA) will primarily work on tasks related to the establishment, maintenance and reporting of the National Achondroplasia Registry, reporting to the Chief Investigator. This research is vital in the context of recently available and PBS-approved disease-modifying therapy, resulting in the need to better understand the trajectory of treated and untreated achondroplasia. Interstate collaboration for a registry is important to generate adequately powered data for this rare disease. In addition, the RA may be required to assist with research-related tasks within the broader Kids Rehab department.

Please note, this position will commence at 16 hours/week for the first 12 months and will then continue at 8 hours/week for the second 12 months, bringing the total contract length to 24 months.

The position is required to work on a Thursday. The other day of work during the first 12 months of the contract is negotiable depending on the candidate's preference.

What you'll be doing
