Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. Are you a passionate and experienced midwife looking to make a real difference in the lives of women and families? Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District is seeking a dedicated Caseload Midwife to join our well-established and collaborative midwifery service. This role offers the opportunity to provide individualised continuity of care throughout pregnancy, labour, birth, and the early postnatal period.

In this rewarding position, you will deliver comprehensive care tailored to each woman’s unique needs, while also planning, coordinating, and implementing care for a designated group of women. You’ll work closely with a supportive team, contributing to the development of midwifery practice and participating in the ongoing evaluation and improvement of our services.

What you will bring to the role

  1. Current registration to practice as a Registered Midwife (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
  2. Current skills in Antenatal, Birthing and Postnatal care, with previous large facility midwifery experience
  3. Interest in working in Caseload model of care
  4. Willing to undertake further education
  5. Flexibility in rostering and on call availability
  6. Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel
