Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Recruitment Officer to join our dynamic Recruitment Services team. This role plays a key part in supporting end-to-end recruitment processes across the district, helping ensure a high-quality, efficient, and compliant recruitment experience for hiring managers and candidates alike.
You’ll be located at Cumberland Hospital as part of a supportive and experienced Recruitment Team, working alongside the Operations Manager - Establishment, Recruitment & Onboarding, Recruitment Team Leaders, Recruitment Coordinators, and Recruitment Officers. The team fosters a collaborative culture focused on teamwork, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
What you’ll be doing
As a Recruitment Officer, you’ll be responsible for coordinating and processing day-to-day recruitment activities, including advertising, appointment processing, and onboarding. You will deliver timely and accurate recruitment services, work collaboratively with stakeholders, and maintain a strong understanding of relevant awards, policies, and systems.
Key responsibilities
- Process and monitor recruitment actions and onboarding within defined timeframes
- Deliver accurate, high-volume transactional recruitment services with minimal supervision
- Provide clear and responsive communication to candidates and stakeholders
- Maintain accurate records and use recruitment systems (e.g. ROB) efficiently
- Work closely with internal and external partners such as HealthShare, Employment Screening and Review Unit (ESRU), and HR teams
- Support consistent district-wide recruitment practices in line with NSW Health policies
