Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The successful candidate will simulate, plan, and treat patients with ionizing radiation in a timely and efficient manner whilst maintaining technical radiation therapy standards. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team maintaining quality communication and interpersonal skills with all staff, patients, carers, and students. The role is also expected to participate in the development and upgrading of clinical protocols and techniques.
We invite you to take this opportunity and work with the recently acquired equipment such as TrueBeam linacs, ExacTrac imaging, SGRT. The team offers attractive flexible options such as 4-day work week or 9 days per fortnight are available.

What you will bring to the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in medical Radiation Science (Radiation Therapy) or Bachelor of Applied Science or qualification deemed equivalent by employer; General Registration as a Medical Radiation Therapist by Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Authority and holder of IA13 and S13 Radiation User Licence (NSW EPA Licence).
- Recent and demonstrated sound knowledge and experience in all aspects of modern Image Guided Radiation Therapy, including online CBCT review with Soft Tissue matching.
- Recent and demonstrated experience and technical skills in advanced Planning techniques, incorporating multi-modality image registration for techniques such as IMRT and VMAT.
- Demonstrated evidence of contribution to a high functioning team that encourages collaboration, participation, and respect in shared team goals.
- Dedicated commitment in providing excellent and safe individual patient care, balanced against providing an efficient service for all patients.
- Open and friendly communicator with demonstrated communication skills in written, verbal, and electronic formats
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of radiation therapy quality assurance and quality controls, including radiation safety
- Active involvement in Continuing Professional Development and Training activities of self and others
