Where you'll be working
SESLHD’s Sexual Health and Blood Borne Virus Service (SHBBV) provide leadership, innovation and research in the sector. Services within SHBBV are involved in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of Sexually Transmissible Infections (STIs) and blood borne viruses at an individual and population level within SESLHD, as well as four statewide services.
Across these services, care is provided via fixed locations and outreach networks to a client base of approximately 28,000 individuals. SHBBV has highly skilled and diverse staff including nursing, medical, allied health, health promotion, administrative and technical staff. It is the largest SHBBV service in Australia.
The Kirketon Road Centre (KRC) is a targeted primary health care facility located in Kings Cross involved in the prevention, treatment and care of HIV/AIDS and other transmissible infections among ‘at risk’ young people, sex workers, people who inject drugs, people experiencing homelessness, Aboriginal people and LGBTIQ people.
What you'll be doing
This position manages and delivers programs at KRC which includes; the Aboriginal Health program, the Youth Program, the Consumer program, Health Promotion program and supports the Research program. It is also responsible for the coordination of the internal education program at KRC and the coordination of external training requests and programs. It also supports the NSP program and manages the NSP Operations Manager.

Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated experience in the management and supervision of staff
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field and/or relevant work experience
- Experience in leading project development, management and evaluation, including liaison with multiple stakeholders from government and non-government organisations
- Demonstrated understanding of health promotion, community development, primary health care and the harm reduction approach to illicit drug issues
- Experience in partnering with consumers and ability to lead the development implementation and evaluation of a consumer participation project
- High level organisational skills, including a capacity to prioritise competing interests and meet tight deadlines and demonstrated high level written and oral communications skills
- Ability to participate in outreach, NSP, education and training and health promotion activities
- Current NSW Driver's Licence with a willingness to work across South Eastern Sydney Local Health District, with primary location at the Kirketon Road Centre (Kings Cross)
