The Opportunity
We have an exciting maternity leave relief position available within a newly established Program Office – a rare and rewarding opportunity to be part of a team focused on improving healthcare access and outcomes for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities.
As the Multicultural Planning, Evaluation, and Communications Program Lead, you will drive the development and implementation of effective planning, evaluation, and communication strategies within the Multicultural and Refugee Health Service. Your work will focus on evaluating programs, communicating impact, and supporting policy change, all underpinned by trauma-informed care principles.
You’ll develop and deliver change management tools such as communication plans, stakeholder engagement strategies, and readiness assessments while managing multiple evaluation projects across diverse clinical areas. You will help shape services that are accessible, culturally responsive, and equitable.
This role offers flexible working arrangements, including hybrid work and flexible start/finish times over a 38-hour week. While the location is negotiable, we would ideally like the successful candidate to be based in Tamworth.

You’re a passionate advocate for equity in healthcare, with a strong understanding of the barriers faced by multicultural, refugee, and Deaf communities. You're ready to lead change and drive real improvements through data, collaboration, and strategy.

- Have experience in evaluation, education delivery, grant writing, and/or research.
- Are an engaging and empathetic leader who builds trust, listens actively, and brings people together.
- Are a confident problem-solver with strong change management skills.
- Thrive in complex environments and enjoy designing solutions that support system-wide improvement.
You will also bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and/or significant experience in the health or community sectors.
- A track record of leading planning, policy, communication, and evaluation projects.
- A current NSW driver’s licence and willingness to travel as needed.
