What you'll be doing
This role supports contract management and compliance within WSLHD, focusing on performance outcomes, financial and regulatory alignment, and reducing risks and inefficiencies.
In this role you will be:
- Assisting with contract development, monitoring and compliance.
- Supporting supply chain teams to enhance contract processes.
- Ensuring adherence to NSW Health and government policies.
- Improving contract performance and minimising disputes.
- Contributing to training and capability-building in contract management.

Selection Criteria
- Extensive experience working within NSW Health or state government sector, with direct work experience in procurement and contract management in a category manager context across multiple facilities.
- Proven ability to effectively manage contractor performance through strong communication, negotiation skills, attention to detail and problem solving under pressure with sound ethics and rationale.
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of procurement planning, execution and management of complex contracts and pricing arrangements within a relevant procurement and legislative framework.
- Proven excellence in developing frameworks, systems and processes to manage and produce performance and compliance reporting including database management skills with strong proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
- Extensive experience in project management including excellent organisational skills with the ability to work on a multitude of tasks while meeting deadlines.
- Well-developed interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing key stakeholders, suppliers and customers to influence and achieve optimal business outcomes.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality customer service and continuous improvement strategies.
