What you'll be doing
Join a dynamic team providing safe and effective pharmacy services at Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals. Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Assisting in delivering high quality patient care
  • Working under pharmacist or senior technician supervision
  • Using recognised pharmacy technician qualifications
  • Supporting medicine supply, stock and documentation
  • Contributing to efficient hospital pharmacy operations

Essential Criteria:

  • Qualification:  Certificate III issued by a Registered Training Organisation in Hospital and Community Pharmacy (e.g. Charles Sturt University),  Pharmacy Technician Certificate Course at Certificate Level IV or has qualifications deemed by the employer to be equivalent.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills with capability to relay information accurately and in a timely manner.
  2. Experience with information technology and familiar with the use pharmacy software e.g. iPharmacy system - in order to carry out the duties in the position description.
  3. Recent Australian hospital pharmacy experience where employed as a pharmacy technician including demonstrated skills in accuracy and attention to detail in dispensing pharmaceuticals under supervision.
  4. Ability to understand and adhere to departmental policy and procedures and legislative requirements
  5. Demonstrated experience as working as part of a team to produce good results
