What you'll be doing
To provide quality dispensing, manufacturing, and other supportive pharmaceutical services to patients of Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospital. The Pharmacy Assistants provide technical support to the Pharmacy Department in all areas of pharmacy practice, including dispensing, production, distribution, and clinical activities.

Essential Requirements

  • Pharmacy Assistant Grade 2: Successfully completed a qualification up to the level of Certificate III in Community Pharmacy issued by a Registered Training Organisation OR has qualifications deemed by the employer to be equivalent. Those without a qualification issued by a Registered Training Organisation will be classified as Pharmacy Assistant Grade 1.

Selection Criteria

  1. Demonstrated good communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  2. Demonstrated satisfactory pharmacy dispensing experience in Australia (or equivalent).
  3. Demonstrated ability to prioritise large workload and have good time management skills.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  5. Sound computing skills in the basic Microsoft office suite of applications and experience using databases.
  6. Maintained ability to rotate across Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospital and participate afterhours, weekend and public holiday work as required.
