You’ll be part of Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD), one of NSW’s largest and most diverse health districts, dedicated to delivering safe, high-quality care to our local communities.
As a member of the WSLHD Drug Committee, you’ll play a key role in promoting the safe, effective, and cost-conscious use of medicines across the district. It’s a strategic, high-impact role at the intersection of clinical expertise and health policy, all within a team that values collaboration, innovation, and patient-centred care.
What you'll be doing
Support safe and effective medication use across Western Sydney in this key governance role with the WSLHD Drug Committee.
- Coordinate Drug Committee operations
- Review formulary applications and protocols
- Promote safe and cost-effective prescribing
- Liaise with clinical and pharmacy teams
- Ensure quality medication governance district-wide

Essential Criteria:
- Registration: Full and unrestricted Pharmacist registration with AHPRA
Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills both written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated extensive knowledge of computer programs (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), electronic mail systems and extensive web publishing skills.
- Demonstrated organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work and manage time to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated administrative skills including ability to accurately record and type minutes of meetings, maintain accurate record keeping skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision as well as within a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to search medicines information databases and interpret evidence based literature
- Demonstrated current clinical and operational pharmacy knowledge and understanding of the organisational structure and responsibilities of hospitals and Drug Committees
