  1. Tertiary qualifications in Health Information Management or equivalent work experience in patient management systems (PAS) at senior level in health, specifically focused in clinical information systems management or information technology.
  2. Demonstrated experience in the development of health information management strategies in a large organisation.
  3. Demonstrated understanding and ability to communicate and resolve complex patient information system problems in a technical systems environment, with expert knowledge of Cerner PAS modules that have been implemented in large public hospitals and how these modules are integrated and their inter-dependencies.
  4. Thorough understanding of information management principles and processes with demonstrated knowledge of current standards, statutory requirements and policies regarding privacy, security and other health information management requirements.
  5. Demonstrated high level interpersonal, negotiation, stake holder management and communication skills that support the primary business function of a large organisation.
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff.
  7. Demonstrated computer and presentation skills including experience using Visio, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office and other relevant applications.
  8. Demonstrated experience managing teams within a complex organisation.
