- Relevant qualification in Bachelor of Social Work with eligibility for membership to Australian Association of Social Workers or Degree in Psychology and eligibility for full registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated extensive clinical experience and clinical reasoning in psychosocial assessment, case planning, individual and family grief and loss counselling and bereavement counselling.
- Demonstrated ability to manage stressful situations, to utilise problem solving skills and a multidisciplinary team approach in the planning, delivery and coordination of patient care.
- Demonstrated effective communication through the use of information technology, written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others.
- Understanding and knowledge of Aboriginal social, cultural and economic issues with capacity to flexibly develop local responses to community needs using cross cultural communication skills.
- Demonstrated high level knowledge and understanding of person-centred care, quality improvement and evidence based practice
- Demonstrated ability to supervise professional, technical and support staff.
- Valid unrestricted drivers licence for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel in the course of employment
