Paediatric Registered Nurse - Casual
John Hunter Children's Hospital

 

The John Hunter Children’s Hospital (JHCH), located in Newcastle NSW, offers nurses the opportunity to work in a tertiary level paediatric facility while enjoying the benefits of a lifestyle surrounded by beaches, lakes and bush. JHCH provides complex medical, surgical, major trauma and neonatal services for Northern NSW. Being one of three children's hospitals in the state, they will see nearly 25,000 children and young people present to the emergency department, have 9,000 admitted to hospital and perform over 100,000 occasions of service through outpatient clinics. 

About the role:
The successful applicants will have the flexibility to work across three individual acute units which include Surgical/Oncology, Paediatric and Adolescent Medical. This role will see you work in collaborative consultation with medical, nursing and allied health staff to maximise health outcomes for children and young people. Upon commencement, you will be offered supernumerary orientation days across the three units with support from the education team in an ongoing capacity to provide support and ensure learning and development goals are met.

About you:
JHCH is seeking dynamic, caring and motivated Registered Nurses who possess a passion for paediatric nursing within a family centred model of care. Successful applicants must be flexible and have the capacity to work various shifts over a 7 day roster.
