About the Opportunity
South Western Sydney Local Health District is seeking passionate and dedicated new graduate occupational therapists to join our teams for 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity to launch your career in public health and make a meaningful impact on the lives of paediatric clients and their families across the district. As an Occupational Therapist working within these paediatric teams you will have the opportunity to gain comprehensive experience and contribute to patient care in a supportive environment. We provide access to regular supervision and individualised support to ensure development of your Paediatric clinical skills.
What You'll be Doing
Provide a high quality occupational therapy service to clients and their families/carers to ensure the provision of optimal health outcomes for the clients of the service. This encompasses ensuring effective and efficient entry, assessment, treatment planning, treatment implementation, evaluation and separation of patients/clients in a multi-disciplinary setting. The Occupational Therapist is also responsible for undertaking designated administrative tasks necessary to support service delivery.

- Recognised Degree in Occupational Therapy or other qualification deemed appropriate by the employer, with registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Evidence of knowledge and commitment to the application of quality improvement and evidence based practice
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy in a range of programs
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional education
- Demonstrated clinical experience in Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention in a Paediatric setting.
- Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
