The Role

 

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the provision and delivery of evidence-based, occupation-focused services in the Forensic Hospital. The Occupational Therapist will conduct discipline specific assessments and interventions within group and individual settings which contribute to the patient’s recovery and community reintegration..

 

 

 

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

·        Degree in Occupational Therapy.

·        Current unrestricted registration with AHPRA.

 

 

Our location, team, and service

 

The Forensic Hospital is a high-secure forensic mental health facility in New South Wales, operated by Justice Health NSW. This facility provides specialist, therapeutic inpatient care for adults and adolescent forensic, correctional, and high-risk civil patients. 

 

A multidisciplinary team of medical, nursing, and allied health professionals provide care across the clinical spectrum, from high dependency and acute care, to long stay and rehabilitation care.

*A mandatory and comprehensive two-week, full-time orientation is provided for all new staff at Forensic Hospital. All days are paid. The next intake date is on 2 February 2026.

Your salary of $76,364 – $89,232.a plus superannuation  is just the beginning.
