The role:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Occupational Therapist Team Leader to join our highly skilled and fluid team in a fast-paced acute clinical setting. As a Team Leader, you will oversee a broad range of clinical specialties, providing crucial line management and supervision. You will play an important role in our facility's key pillars of surgical, medical & rehabilitation services for adult inpatients.

Responsibilities include managing day-to-day staffing and referral allocation, ensuring efficient caseload management,. Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering teamwork, supporting clinical decision-making, and maintaining effective communication across all levels of staff.

The role demands exceptional social acumen, maturity, and flexibility, as you navigate the personal and professional challenges of a diverse workforce. You will be pivotal in supporting team members through mentoring, regular supervision, and fostering a supportive environment conducive to professional growth and excellence.

Working hours are typically 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday. This position offers ample opportunities for professional development, including involvement in quality improvement initiatives, research, and potential participation in health excellence awards and scholarships.

Where you'll be working:

Belmont Hospital is located within the Hunter New England Local Health District and is nestled between multiple beautiful beaches and the magnificent Hunter Valley vineyards which are just an hour’s drive away. The hospital has direct access to public transport and is close to numerous public schools and several major shopping centres.
