An exciting opportunity has opened up for an Occupational Therapist to join the team at Nepean Hospital on a permanent full time basis.
In this role you will provide person centred clinical advice to clients, carers, families and other health care professionals to ensure optimal health outcomes for the clients of the service.
Key to your success is the ability to problem solve and think laterally about complex patient situations, whilst working closely with families/carers and the multidisciplinary team. What you will bring to the role
- Current registration to practice as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board AHPRA, and current class C NSW drivers licence or equivalent.
- Demonstrated clinical experience and ability to provide occupational therapy assessment and intervention in a variety of clinical areas including acute inpatient setting (Medical / Surgical / Aged Care) and sub-acute rehabilitation setting.
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision, including ability to manage routine clinical matters with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated skills in written and verbal communication with consumers, teams and agencies, with experience in clinical documentation, formal reporting and clinical handover.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated high level of effective organisational and time management skills.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of relevant evidence based practice resources to guide decision- making and commitment to quality improvement.
