About the Opportunity
Campbelltown Hospital is now classified as an A1 facility and is home to one of the busiest Emergency Departments in New South Wales—The Campbelltown Emergency Department comprises 63 beds and manages approximately 101,000 presentations annually across both Campbelltown and Camden Hospitals.
In response to increasing activity and operational demand, the NUM 3 – Emergency Department provides vital operational oversight to ensure the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. Working in close collaboration with the ED Nurse Manager, Hospital Executive, Demand Management Unit, and ED senior clinical leaders, the NUM 3 plays a critical role in staff coordination, patient flow, and continuous process improvement across the department.
With a growing number of new nurses joining the ED—driven by redevelopment initiatives and safe staffing enhancements, visible clinical supervision and leadership are more important than ever. The NUM 3 ensures that the department remains well-equipped to meet rising patient care demands while supporting staff development and departmental performance.
What You'll be Doing
The Nursing Unit Manager (NUM) is in-charge of all aspects of the unit environment and takes overall responsibility for the standard of patient care in the unit. The NUM is pivotal to the coordination of patient care, unit management and leadership to ensure the delivery of high quality patient care and efficient use of resources.

- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Midwife with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent work experience or a combination of study and experience deemed appropriate by SWSLHD.
