Tweed Urgent Care Service is seeking a Nurse Practitioner/Transitional Nurse Practitioner to join this exciting new service. As a Rural Generalist Nurse Practitioner in the Urgent Care Service, you will draw upon and further develop your knowledge and skills across all 6 meta-specialties, with a particular focus on Primary Health Care, Aged Care and Acute Care and Emergency.

About the role 

Providing high levels of clinically focused nursing care within the specialty area of Urgent Care nursing to improve access to care and addressing gaps in existing health care services through the provision of a flexible and innovative model of care. Providing clinical and professional leadership as an expert in the clinical field and undertaking comprehensive health assessments as well as collaborating and consulting with other members of the health care team to plan, implement and evaluate care. This integrated approach will support best practice and maximise patient care outcomes.

The Transitional Nurse Practitioner is appointed for a provisional period of up to three (3) years until the applicant meets the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) requirements for nurse practitioner endorsement.
