About the role
In this advanced clinical role, you’ll work both autonomously and collaboratively to assess, manage and support women’s health patients within your defined scope of practice. You'll provide flexible and innovative care that complements other health services and contributes to our broader district goals.
Key responsibilities include

Conducting comprehensive and holistic health assessments.

Using diagnostic investigations to support clinical decision-making.

Formulating diagnoses and prescribing appropriate treatments.

Providing both pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.

Referring and consulting with other professionals to ensure optimal patient care.

Practising in accordance with relevant legislation and professional standards.
You’ll also support and educate colleagues, promote safe care practices, and contribute to the development of operational plans in line with the LHD strategic plan.

To be considered for this role, you’ll need current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA and endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner. If you’re a Transitional Nurse Practitioner, you’ll need to provide evidence of substantial progress toward endorsement. In this case, you may be appointed temporarily (up to 3 years) while you complete the requirements for full endorsement. You’ll also hold or be working towards postgraduate qualifications at a Master’s level in an NMBA-approved Nurse Practitioner program or relevant clinical specialty, and be eligible to drive in NSW.
