The Nurse Manager – Nursing and Midwifery Executive Officer (NEO) is responsible to the Director of Nursing and Midwifery Services (DoNM) to coordinate administrative and project support, aimed at improving the operational efficiency, performance effectiveness and quality of nursing and midwifery services. This is a high paced role, challenged to meet competing needs and expectations, and requires excellent time management skills, the ability to prioritise demands across a diverse range of issues whilst developing constructive and effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to make sustained changes and improvements to patient and staff safety.
The role will assist in the implementation of key nursing and midwifery strategic initiatives, provide guidance and support to ensure that there is a focus on service development and appropriate oversight of practices, trends and indicators.

Established in 1958, The Sutherland Hospital campus offers a comprehensive range of inpatient and community services to around 226,000 residents of the Sutherland Shire, colloquially known as ‘The Shire’. Part of the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) and located in Caringbah, the hospital campus is close to some of Sydney’s great beaches, restaurants, bars and cafes at Cronulla and is close to the beautiful Royal National Park. At Miranda, just a short walk away from the hospital, there is a Westfield Shopping Centre and cinema complex.
