The Role

The NSW Telestroke Project Officer will be responsible for the planning and implementation of expansion projects associated with the NSW Telestroke Service. The Project Officer will work collaboratively with NSW TSS partner LHDs, managers and clinicians to facilitate pilot expansion projects related to this state-wide service. This position will report to the NSW TSS Operations Manager, POWH, SESLHD and undertake the full role of project management activities including project planning, stakeholder negotiation, implementation, milestone reporting and business case development as required.

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Health, Business or Project Management and/or relevant work experience in the consumer/patient-client experience, or a combination of study and work experience
  2. Demonstrated experience in project management and the implementation of projects, frameworks, initiatives and/or similar
  3. Demonstrated high level ability to negotiate and facilitate service delivery with strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
  4. Effective time management and demonstrated ability to prioritise and meet conflicting deadlines with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior management, and other key stakeholders
  5. Demonstrated high level analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to provide authoritative advice and recommendations across a large and complex organisation
  6. Demonstrated experience working with multi-disciplinary teams of clinicians to implement change of practice.
  7. Current drivers licence (with a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position)
