Selection Criteria
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent experience. Experience and record of achievement in managing the development, implementation, evaluation and refinement of state-wide quality and safety improvement strategies, priorities and programs in mental health will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated high-level understanding of the delivery of care within the NSW health system and expert knowledge of current and emerging areas of clinical quality and patient safety. Significant knowledge and understanding of policies and legislation impacting on national mental health matters.
- Superior conceptual and analytical skills including demonstrated ability to establish, maintain, develop and analyse output from databases. Interpret complex information from numerous sources, prepare and present analysis and reports rapidly and accurately to a variety of audiences, and provide innovative solutions to complex issues.
- Demonstrated superior stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skills including extensive experience leading, persuading, motivating and negotiating at senior levels; actively developing strategic partnerships; and engaging and influencing key stakeholders to adopt and implement methodology and initiatives.
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills including proven ability to deal with people at all levels from a wide-range of professional backgrounds to achieve optimal business outcomes.
- Demonstrated leadership skills including demonstrated experience developing the capability of health systems, the ability to establishing, and monitoring the achievement of clear performance objectives, coaching staff, and foster a collegial, professional work environment
- Demonstrated skills and experience in project management, managing all aspects, including research, development, review and evaluation.
- Significant experience in leading the development of, analysing and evaluation of policy and other projects in a multi-disciplinary environment
