What you'll be doing

SESLHD is committed to enabling our community to be healthy and well, and to providing the best possible compassionate care when people need it The Release of Information Manager, Health Records is responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of release of information services across Randwick Campus, including Norther Sector Community Health Services.

This role is responsible for the management of staff within the Release of Information section of Health Records and includes planning, reviewing, evaluating, and implementing changes in regards to policy and procedure to achieve organisational outcomes and meet legislative requirements.  


Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing.

All Category A workers and new recruits are required to receive one dose of the seasonal influenza vaccine annually to be considered compliant.

Category A workers and new recruits who are non-compliant with seasonal influenza vaccination or have a medical contraindication to influenza vaccinations must comply with all other infection control risk reduction strategies as directed while working in a Category A position.

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Health Information Management and/or relevant equivalent work experience
  2. Demonstrated high level analytical and problem solving skills in relation to medicolegal matters, including the ability to provide authoritative advice and recommendations across a large and complex organisation
  3. Demonstrated effective time management and ability to prioritise and meet conflicting deadlines
  4. Demonstrated knowledge and application of legislation and policies relevant to release of information and health record management
  5. Proven ability to implement strategies to ensure efficient and effective service by planning; reviewing; evaluating and implementing change to achieve organisational outcomes
  6. Proven experience in leading a team and ability to manage performance
  7. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior management and other key stakeholders, including the ability to negotiate; influence and communicate effectively
