Selection Criteria

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications or relevant professional experience or a combination of both.
  2. Child and Adolescent Mental Health clinical background and/or qualifications in this clinical field.
  3. Demonstrated skills and experience in organisational change and service development, including the implementation of systems to manage the core business of the service.
  4. Demonstrated high level skills in evidence-based interventions for the promotion, prevention and treatment of mental illness and substance use.
  5. Demonstrated experience in delivering recovery-oriented care to mental health consumers and/or a harm minimisation approach to drug and alcohol clients.
  6. Demonstrated knowledge of the legislative requirements that govern Mental Health service provision, including the NSW Mental Health Act (2007) and an understanding of current State and National Mental Health policies, and their potential impact on service provision in the public sector.
  7. Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers' licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.


Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specific Diseases
This is a Category ‘A’ position, please read and understand NSW Health policy directive PD2022_030 All new employees must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in this policy. OASV requirements also include proof of vaccination against influenza and is compulsory for NSW Staff that enter any Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) or who work in NSW Health owned and operated RACFs.

All NSW Health Category A workers are required to have received at least two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine. You will be required to provide a record of your COVID-19 vaccination status if successful. Category B positions must have at least two doses and must also provide COVID-19 vaccination evidence if successful.
