An exciting opportunity is now available to join NBMLHD as the Manager of BBV and Sexual Health Promotion on a permanent full time basis.
Your role as Manager BBV and Sexual Health Promotion (BBV & SHP) has key responsibility within Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District for the strategic and operational management of projects, programs and local initiatives that address the areas of sexual health promotion and blood borne viruses, including HIV, STIs and hepatitis B and C in line with NBMLHD and State strategic frameworks and policies. Relevant strategies and frameworks include but are not limited to the NSW STI Strategy; HIV Strategy; Hepatitis B Strategy; Hepatitis C Strategy; and Needle and Syringe Program Guideline.
The position manages the Sexual Health, BBV and STI Health Promotion and Needle and Syringe Program teams, providing high level direction, advice and day-to-day people management.

What you will bring to the role
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in health or public sector management or equivalent senior industry experience along with relevant high-level experience in managing population health/health promotion programs.
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of the individual and social impacts of HIV, STIs and viral hepatitis and awareness of current and emerging national and state-wide priorities, issues and models of care in these areas.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with strategic thinking and development, implementation and evaluation of health policies, plans, programs, and service improvement initiatives in accordance with relevant legislative requirements and to meet key performance indicators.
- Proven expertise in project management and in developing and supporting partnerships and stakeholder relationships.
- Demonstrated experience in driving performance and organisational change according to local and State priorities to achieve agreed objectives.
- Demonstrated experience in people management and leadership, strong interpersonal, teamwork, negotiation, communication, and motivational skills which show a capacity to build achieving teams with a focus on high quality outcomes.
- Excellent organisational, prioritisation, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid unrestricted drivers' licence for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel in the course of employment.
