Magistrates Early Referral into Treatment (MERIT) Case Manager - Goulburn/Yass - Incentives Offered
Selection Criteria
- Tertiary qualifications and current registration with AHPRA for Registered Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, or eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers for Social Workers.
- Demonstrated high level skills and experience in the provision of evidence based interventions for clients with complex needs experiencing substance abuse and dependence, whilst using evidence based interventions and contemporary practice.
- Demonstrated understanding of the broad health and social impact of substance abuse and dependence and commitment to the harm minimisation approach.
- Demonstrated ability to communication clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing, with high level proficiency in computer literacy.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare Court reports and clinical documentation.
- Demonstrated ability and capacity to engage and collaborate with clients, their families and carers, Criminal Justice System, and / or other stakeholders.
- Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers’ licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances.
Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specific Diseases
This is a Category ‘A’ position, please read and understand NSW Health policy directive PD2022_030. All new employees must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in this policy. OASV requirements also include proof of vaccination against influenza and is compulsory for NSW Staff that enter any Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) or who work in NSW Health owned and operated RACFs.
All NSW Health Category A workers are required to have received at least two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine. You will be required to provide a record of your COVID-19 vaccination status if successful.
