Where you'll be working

Set in the Royal National Park with free staff parking onsite. This role will be predominately a 10:00 -18:30 position concentrating on re-heating and service of food. The full time position requires good availability and is based on a 7 day roster. 

What you'll be doing

The Hospital Assistant will provide a Resident focused service delivery, be responsible for performing a high standard of cleaning duties and ensuring the delivery of quality service to residents in the preparation, regeneration, delivery and presentation of meal. Experience within the catering field in similar role preferred. Attention to detail and self-motivated is essential and  able to communicate and work well within a team is an important part of the role. As part of your employment you must apply independently for NDIS check.

Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing.

All Category A workers and new recruits are required to receive one dose of the seasonal influenza vaccine annually to be considered compliant.

Category A workers and new recruits who are non-compliant with seasonal influenza vaccination or have a medical contraindication to influenza vaccinations must comply with all other infection control risk reduction strategies as directed while working in a Category A position.

  2. Demonstrated ability to work as a team member and independently, including a flexible approach to work practices by providing relief in other service departments as required.
  3. Physical capability to perform various cleaning and catering skills
  4. Willingness to undertake training relevant to job role such as working in other departments.
  5. Demonstrated ability to adhere to the defined standards of ethical and professional conduct consistent with the current NSW Health Code of Conduct and other professional standards applicable to the position.
