This is an excellent opportunity  for a motivated Podiatrist who is passionate about wound care and limb preservation. Whether your early in your career or seeking to deepen your expertise, you'll be guided and supported by experienced senior podiatrists and a collaborative multidisciplinary team

What we offer

  • Exposure to diverse clinical presentations including wounds, diabetes related foot complications, vascular compromise and charcot neuroarthropathy.
  • Hands on training in total contact casting, complex offloading and advanced wound care techniques.
  • Regular case conferencing and 1:1 clinical supervision

Where you'll be working

St George Hospital will open its new Kensington St Building in early 2026. Podiatry will be co-located with Allied Health and have 3 Podiatry clinics, a total contact casting room and an orthotics and offloading manufacture room. This new space will be fully supported with administration, allowing clinicians to focus on providing care. This will be an excellent modernisation of our service.

Selection Criteria

  1. Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award and Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  2. Demonstrate your core competency skills in wound care, diabetes, biomechanics, partial and total nail avulsion surgery, general podiatry assessment and management.
  3. Demonstrate your high level written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills and your ability to proactively engage with patients to enhance service delivery.
  4. Convey your ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to exercise independent professional judgement on routine matters, commensurate with years of experience.
  5. Computer skills and the capacity to use health information systems
  6. Provide insight into your commitment to quality improvement and evidence based practice and to ongoing clinical and professional learning.
