About the role
In Western NSW LHD we understand how integral our senior team is to achieving our goal of healthier rural people and thriving communities.

Leadership, collaboration and innovation are at the heart of the Health Service Manager's role. You will coordinate the daily operations of a rural hospital, manage multidisciplinary care teams and maintain a visible role in the community.  Promoting efficient and effective day to day operations of facility services, you will be responsible for the delivery of safe, high standards of care and services for patients and their families.

You will develop, monitor and evaluate allocation and utilisation of the facility workforce and resource utilisation, providing leadership to direct and support staff. Ongoing evaluation and management (including change management) of service needs in consultation with a multidisciplinary team, and the development of policies related to clinical services are also required.

Innovation and continuous improvement underpins this role, and through your leadership, you’ll be part of shaping the future of rural health. It’s not always easy, but it will always be extremely rewarding.
