Selection Criteria to be addressed:
- Tertiary qualifications Health Information management or equivalent, or a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Health Information and Records Area.
- High level of oral and written communication and interpersonal skills with a well-developed organisational ability.
- Proven current knowledge of Medico-legal / Health Information Release and Medical Record keeping policies, procedures and legislation.
- Ability to provide input, interpret, monitor and evaluate policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Satisfactory completion of a recognised Australian Clinical Coding course and Medical Terminology course with sound knowledge and practical experience of the ACCD Australian
- Proven experience with auditing and data submission in a health environment.
- Ability to meet pre-determined targets and deadlines.
- Ability to meet the physical and psychological requirements of the position.
