Position Classification & Remuneration: Dependant on qualifications

Social Worker, Occupational Therapist Level or Counsellor 1/2: $37.03 - $52.83 per hour
Registered Nurse: $36.38 - $51.08 per hour

The successful incumbent will provide case management and counselling to MERIT and Drug Court clients within the Forensic Drug and Alcohol Service of the Nepean Blue Mountains LHD Drug and Alcohol Service.

What you will bring to the role 

  1. Degree or post graduate degree and professional registration/membership in the following: Occupational Therapy (Registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia), Social Work (Eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers AASW; Counsellor (Eligibility for full membership of the Australian Counselling Association ACA; Registered Nurse (APHRA registration)
  2. Demonstrated clinical experience in the provision of assessment and evidence-based interventions for alcohol and other drug using clients
  3. Demonstrated ability to liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders, with a particular focus on Local Health District services, Criminal Justice System, and community-based support services
  4. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team in providing drug and alcohol services to court mandated clients
  5. Proven high quality computer literacy, written and verbal communication including the preparation of court reports and clinical notes
  6. Experience in, or commitment to, working with individuals and families from Indigenous backgrounds and/or diverse cultural backgrounds.
  7. Ability to work with minimal supervision
  8. Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel
