An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Financial Accountant with a strong interest in and commitment to teamwork to join the experienced and dedicated General Ledger team of Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) Finance.

Where you'll be working
NSLHD Finance is located in Building 35/36 of the Royal North Shore Hospital campus.

What you'll be doing
Successful candidate will coordinate intra-health accounts; prepare journals, reconciliations & payment requisitions; and maintain communication with business managers across the LHD & other health entities.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.


Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:


  1. A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business or Commerce and/or meet the requirements to be a member of a recognised Australian professional accounting body.
  2. Extensive practical knowledge of the Australian Accounting Standards and ability to interpret policies and other requirements relating to accounts management.
  3. Extensive experience in complex General Ledger reconciliations and preparation of detailed accounting information and high level reports.
  4. Advanced computer skills, including high level proficiency with using a recognised Financial Management Information System, MS Office software (particularly Excel and Word).
