About the Opportunity
The role is an essential part of the LHD finance team and leads the technical budgeting process, including being a key liaison with the Ministry of Health budgeting team and finance business partners across the LHD.

 

What You'll be Doing
The primary purpose for this role is to partner with and influence various teams and stakeholders across SWSLHD to assist in identifying opportunities to deliver financial efficiency and cost savings, budgeting process, and training in data systems use for analysis and reporting to meet the organisational objectives and strategic priorities

  1. Tertiary qualifications in accounting, business, commerce or other relevant discipline and membership of an appropriate accounting organisation or equivalent relevant experience in a large, complex organisation.
  2. Provide a support service to enable the reporting entity (including District Executives), facilities and services within the LHD to meet budgetary and financial reporting requirements in line with organisational objectives
  3. Using an example, describe a time where you have to assist in the ongoing review and analysis of System generated management reports in line with the organisational objectives, including financial reporting, managing and reconciliation with the budget management system. 
  4. Describe a time where you had to undertake ad hoc reporting, analyse financial information, and provide sound advice and recommendations which support the achievement of organisational objectives and strategies, including to facilitate any ongoing FTE reporting and budget training processes. 
  5. Using an example, describe a time where you have had to demonstrate strong focus on standardisation, improvement and building organisational capability in the areas of finance, budget management and development. 
  6. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
