Where you'll be working
Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What you'll be doing
The Executive Support Officer plays an important role in ensuring that the Office of the General Manager, Integrated & Community Health operates in an efficient and professional manner and that all tasks are attended to in a timely manner.
 
The Executive Support Officer will provide high level, comprehensive executive secretarial and administrative support to the General Manager, Integrated & Community Health.
 
This role encompasses the need for high level organisatonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills.  The need for initiative and analytical thinking.  The Executive Support Officer must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and able to coordinate competing priorities.  Negotiation skills are essential in this role.
 
The Executive Support Officer works closely with the Manager Executive Support, Directors, Senior Managers and staff within Integrated & Community Health, and must remain professional, courteous and positive at all times and act in accordane with the Code of Conduct and other organisational policies.
 
Due to the nature of the role, and in order to support the General Manager, the Executive Support Officer may be required to travel and work across multiple sites within the Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD).

Selection Criteria:

  1. Demonstrated experience providing high level executive support including diary management and preparing executive documents.
  2. Demonstrated organisational skills including the ability to problem solve, prioritise requests, manage workloads and meet deadlines.
  3. Demonstrated high level communication skills, both verbal and written including attention to detail.
  4. Demonstrated advanced proficiency in business writing including briefs, replying to Ministerials and complaints.
  5. Demonstrated proficiency in the use of variety of Microsoft office suite, including electronic records management system (Hewlett Packard Enterprise Content Manager (HPECM) previously known as TRIM/HPRM).
  6. Proven ability to exercise sound judgement in a changing environment, often under tight timelines, high volume, and high-pressure conditions.
  7. Proven ability to work effectively independently and in a team, follow established processes, respond to feedback, and adapt to continuous quality improvement.
  8. Unrestricted NSW Drivers licence and willingness to travel as needed.
