Where you’ll be working:

You’ll be based in the General Medical Unit at Armidale Hospital, nestled in the picturesque highlands of New South Wales. Our 32-bed unit provides acute care to a diverse patient population including Palliative Care, Rehabilitation, Acute Stroke, Cardiac Telemetry, Aged, Cognitively Impaired, and General Medical patients. Armidale offers a rare mix of city-style amenities and a relaxed regional lifestyle, with excellent schools, national parks, and a vibrant arts and food scene.

You’ll join a dynamic, friendly, and forward-thinking team of bright, caring nurses who work together to deliver safe, person-centred care with integrity and compassion.


About the role:

As an Enrolled Nurse in our team, you’ll play a key role in supporting the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. This is a fantastic opportunity to deepen your acute care experience while contributing to meaningful outcomes for a wide range of patients. The variety in clinical presentations ensures you’ll expand your skillset while working within a truly collaborative multidisciplinary team.

You will be well supported with supernumerary shifts on commencement and guidance from an experienced Clinical Nurse Educator and Nurse Unit Manager. Ongoing education and professional development are encouraged to help you thrive and grow in your nursing career.



About you:

  • You’re a motivated Enrolled Nurse with acute care experience
  • You’re passionate about delivering compassionate, evidence-based nursing care
  • You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and being part of a team
  • You bring excellent communication and time management skills
  • You have the confidence to adapt and contribute to a diverse clinical caseload

Requirements:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as an Enrolled Nurse (Medication Endorsed)
  • Acute care experience (desirable)
  • Commitment to continuous learning and clinical development
  • COVID-19 vaccination and other NSW Health employment compliance requirements
