About the Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity in our Single Digital Patient Record Implementation Authority (SDPRIA), for an Engineer - DevOps.
The SDPRIA Cloud Hosting Team is building the new mission critical system which clinicians across NSW Health rely on to provide 24 x 7 critical care. A key aspect of the role will be to contribute to a team supporting the core technology infrastructure for our new Single Digital Patient Record (SDPR) electronic medical record, with a focus on the Amazon Web Services tier, which is the foundation application hosting platform for the SDPR program. SDPR will provide a secure, holistic, and integrated view of the care a patient receives across the NSW Health system, enabling clinicians to access a patient's medical information in real time from a single source.
In this role, you will:
- Drive the design, implementation and operation of core technology infrastructure for the Single Digital Patient Record (SDPR) hosted on AWS Public Cloud.
- Contribute to the successful deployment and ongoing performance of the Epic platform, ensuring alignment with SDPR delivery timelines, budgets and quality standards.
- Deliver scalable, fault-tolerant and cost-effective infrastructure solutions using modern DevOps tools and practices.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders including engineers, product owners, architects and vendor SMEs to support platform delivery.
- Enhance cross-functional team capability and infrastructure automation through integration, optimisation and innovation.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has proven experience building and operating enterprise services on AWS in a shared services environment.
- Brings strong knowledge in infrastructure automation tools including Ansible, Packer, PowerShell and AWS Image Builder.
- Has experience with Citrix Cloud, WEM, AWS Workspaces, and SSM for patching and configuration.
- Understands modern ICT delivery methods and thrives in Agile environments.
- Holds relevant certifications in cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) is highly desirable.
