We're searching for a dedicated Drug and Alcohol Counsellor to join our compassionate team in Armidale or Tamworth. As a Counsellor, you'll play a vital role in providing support and guidance to individuals navigating substance use challenges. Working alongside colleagues in our dynamic offices, you'll contribute to a diverse team serving the district.

Your exceptional organizational skills and ability to establish clear boundaries while maintaining confidentiality will be essential for your success in this role. You'll receive ongoing support commencing with an orientation and continuous professional development opportunities, including clinical supervision and monthly educational sessions. Our team of senior counsellors within our multidisciplinary team will provide guidance and mentorship as you grow in your role.

  • Take part in educational programs and online meetings, fostering ongoing development and learning.


Requirements:

  • Must hold a degree in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Counselling or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer, which provides eligibility or membership of the relevant professional association and full registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), where applicable.
  • Eligible to drive in NSW and the ability and willingness to travel for work purposes which may involve driving long distances.
