About the role:

This role will see you plan, deliver & evaluate activities that encompass the physical, psychological, social and cultural needs to encourage and maintain optimum well-being, social inclusion and independence of the residents of our RACF.

You will be responsible for organising leisure and recreational events and encouraging and supporting residents to take part in activities.

Orientation to the site and role will be provided, as well as access to relevant online learning, and internal and external educational opportunities.

Where you’ll be working:

A small rural town located in the Upper Hunter region of New South Wales, Merriwa is known for its agricultural heritage and picturesque rolling hills.

Merriwa Multi Purpose Service has 2 emergency beds, 15 aged care beds and is centrally positioned between Dubbo, Newcastle, Tamworth and Bathurst.

About You:

We are looking for someone with the ability to design and facilitate leisure and recreational programs to cater the individual needs of each resident. You will be creative and love to work with people.

Additional Information:
 

  • To be eligible for permanent employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport. Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable local candidate is identified for the position; in this instance, you may only be offered employment in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa.
