The Pharmaceutical Services Unit (PSU) operates within the Legal and Regulatory Services Branch of the NSW Ministry of Health.

Our primary goal is to ensure the safe and regulated use of therapeutic goods, including medicines and poisons in NSW. We do this through administration of the Poisons and Therapeutic Goods Act 1966 (NSW) and the Poisons and Therapeutic Goods Regulation 2008 (NSW).

This is an ongoing, full time, Band 1, Public Service senior executive (PSSE) role. An attractive remuneration package within the range of $204,447 to $228,550 per annum (SOORT 2024), with annual performance reviews, will be negotiated with the successful applicant.

About you

We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with: 

  • Comprehensive experience across the healthcare sector, understands the supply chain for therapeutic goods, and the quality use of medicines
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of national and jurisdictional legislation and policy relating to the controls for therapeutic goods; and
  • Experience and capability in leading internal and external stakeholder engagement and negotiation
