As the Director of Operations – Illawarra Hospital Group (IHG) and a member of the IHG Executive Team, you will lead the implementation of strategies, plans, systems and procedures to minimise risk exposure, improve organisational performance and ensure compliance with statutory, industrial requirements and Government policy. In this position you will manage the Safe and Timely Access to Care and the Disaster Response and Management Portfolio (including Business Continuity Management) across the IHG and operations of the Port Kembla Hospital. This position will have direct line management for the Wollongong Hospital Patient Flow Manager, the Shellharbour Hospital Patient Flow Team and a significant relationship with the IHG Whole of Health Team.

Wollongong Hospital, located on Dharawal Country, is the Illawarra Shoalhaven’s major referral and teaching hospital and has a bed-base count of more than 500. The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.
